Real Madrid will be without England international Jude Bellingham for its next two La Liga games after he was given a two-game suspension on Wednesday for his complaints at the end of his side's 2-2 draw in Valencia on Saturday night. (Photo by Gustavo Valiente/Xinhua) The game ended in controversy as referee Gil Manzano blew the final whistle just moments before Bellingham nodded in what would have been the winning goal for his side. The referee had previously told the players that a Real Madrid corner would be the last action of the game, but then played on and only blew for full time when Brahim Diaz was just about to send over the cross Bellingham headed in from. The Spanish disciplinary code states that, "speaking to a referee with a disrespectful or inconsiderate attitude, will receive a sanction of two or three games and with the maximum of a month." Bellingham has therefore been given the lowest possible ban, which means he will miss La Liga games against Celta Vigo and Osasuna. |
